Specifically designed for the digital SLR, the H100 is the second most popular tripod we make. It easily handles a wide range of formats, and at just 7 pounds / 3.17 kg with standard anodized aluminum knobs, it is extremely portable. If you prefer the bronze knobs, they are available at an additional $88 and add about one (1) pound / .45 kg to the weight of the tripod. It has the same specifications as the J100 except the crown size is only 2 inches / 5.08 cm, the industry standard base size for most DSLR heads.
The H100 is designed for professional DSLR, medium format, and professional video cameras up to 25 pounds / 11 kg. Ries H Series Tripods feature the Tri-Lock mechanism making them the most stable tripod in the industry. They are made standard from Eastern Hard Rock Maple or custom made from one of our Special wood selections. The H100 is available with 1/4″-20 or 3/8″-16 mounting screws. If you prefer a tripod at a different height, please contact us or call and we can customize a tripod for you, up to an additional 12 inches/30.48 cm, for an additional charge.
All Performances are based on Ries models manufactured after January 2014 when the Ries factory converted from cast aluminum to the current wrought 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. Though similar in appearance to the older cast aluminum the older Ries models are not rated to the same specifications as our newer models.
