The Ries Monopod was designed in response to photographers' requests for a compact and lightweight monopod for field use. It is useful when extra support is needed for the small hand camera, or use in sporting events and action photography. It is also an ideal brace for larger cameras during windy conditions, or when long lenses require additional stability. The M600 has a crown size of 2” and is available with 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 mounting screws. A zippered cordura carrying case is included. It is made standard from hard rock maple or custom made from one of our Special wood selections.

Camera Screw

When you change cameras or equipment the same mount will not always work. Our screws are completely interchangeable. Just order a new screw in the desired size and replace your existing screw when you use your alternate equipment. The camera screw is placed between the head and the camera. If you need an alternate size screw between the tripod and the head please order a Tripod Screw. Please contact us if you need a custom size camera screw.

Extension Legs

Our extension legs are designed to increase the height and flexibility of your RIES tripod. Each leg is composed of two outer brackets and an inner extension leg, just like your tripod, along with 2 clamps and a center band. All you need to do is extend each of your existing inner tripod legs 3" and clamp the extension legs onto them for a secure fit. Then you may adjust each segment as desired. They are available for all Tripods.

A700

The A extension legs add 30 inches / 76.2 cm to 51 inches / 129.5 cm to the height of the tripod and can be folded down to 27 inches / 68.6 cm. The carrying weight is 7 Lbs. / 3.2 kg.

J700

The J extension legs add 25 inches / 63.5 cm to 40 inches / 101.6 cm to the height of the tripod and can be folded down to 20 inches / 50.8 cm. The carrying weight is 4 Lbs. / 1.8 kg.

H700

The H extension legs add 25 inches / 63.5 cm to 40 inches / 101.6 cm to the height of the tripod and can be folded down to 20 inches / 50.8 cm. The carrying weight is 4 Lbs. / 1.8 kg.

The H700 legs are visually the same as the J700 legs above.

The J800 is designed to carry a J100 Tripod with no head. All of our bags are made of durable, weatherproof cordura on a sturdy but lightweight frame of PVC plastic, and are lined with fleece. All cases are monogrammed with our logo and come with full-length zipper, white piping, and both hand and shoulder strap.

The J801 is designed to carry a J100 Tripod with a head attached. All of our bags are made of durable, weatherproof cordura on a sturdy but lightweight frame of PVC plastic, and are lined with fleece. A800
